Your privacy at Consistify

This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it when you use Consistify.

Last updated: October 2026

1. Overview

Consistify is a habit-tracking app that helps users build consistency by tracking habits, check-ins, and progress photos over time.

We try to collect only the information needed to operate the app, improve the experience, and sync your data across devices when you create an account.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Consistify, we may collect the following information:

  • Account information: if you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and authentication-related account data.
  • Habit data: habits you create, descriptions you write, schedules, check-ins, streak-related data, and progress history.
  • Photos you choose to take or upload: if you use the camera or photo features, the app may store your progress photos so you can view your history and compare changes over time.
  • Analytics data: we collect limited product analytics, such as screen views, button taps, onboarding activity, sign-in or sign-up events, migration events, and other in-app actions to help us understand how people use the app and improve it.
  • Device and app information: such as anonymous app identifiers, app version, device type, operating system, and general diagnostic information.
  • Notification-related data: if you enable reminders, the app may store settings related to local notifications and scheduled reminders on your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information we collect to:

  • provide and operate the app;
  • create and maintain your account;
  • sync your habits and progress across devices when you sign in;
  • save and display your progress photos and check-ins;
  • measure app usage and improve features, onboarding, and reliability;
  • support streak calculations, reminders, and habit history;
  • debug crashes, errors, and technical problems;
  • protect the security and integrity of the app.

4. Camera and Photo Access

Consistify requests access to your camera and, where applicable, your photos or storage so you can take and save progress photos for your habits.

We do not use camera access for background surveillance or unrelated purposes. Camera access is used only when you actively choose to take a photo or use a photo-based feature.

5. Guest Mode and Accounts

You may use parts of Consistify as a guest. In guest mode, some habit data may be stored locally on your device.

If you later create an account, some locally stored guest data may be migrated into your account so you can continue using your habits and progress history across devices.

6. Analytics and Tracking

We use analytics tools to understand how people use Consistify. This may include events such as opening the app, viewing onboarding screens, signing up, signing in, creating habits, opening screens, and creating check-ins.

We use this information to improve the product, fix bugs, and understand which features are useful. We do not use this information to sell your personal data.

7. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party service providers to operate parts of the app. Based on the current version of Consistify, these may include services for:

  • Authentication and database/storage infrastructure (for example, Supabase);
  • Product analytics (for example, PostHog);
  • Platform services provided by Apple and Google, such as app distribution, notifications, and operating system APIs.

These providers may process data on our behalf as needed to provide their services. Their handling of data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Data Storage and Retention

Some information may be stored locally on your device. If you create an account, your account-related data, habits, check-ins, and related content may also be stored in cloud infrastructure used by Consistify.

We keep data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share limited data only in the following situations:

  • with service providers that help us operate the app;
  • if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
  • to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of Consistify, our users, or others;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

10. Your Choices

You can choose to:

  • not create an account and use the app in guest mode where available;
  • stop using camera or photo-based features;
  • change language and app settings;
  • sign out of your account;
  • delete habits or reset app data from inside the app where those options exist.

11. Children’s Privacy

Consistify is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to consent to personal data processing in their region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where such collection is prohibited by law.

12. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no system is completely secure. You use the app at your own risk, and you should also take steps to protect your device and account credentials.

13. International Data Processing

Depending on the services used to operate Consistify, your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where this happens, we aim to use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the services we rely on.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice inside the app or on our website.
